About Don Purcell

Don Purcell is an Atlanta retail veteran working for Jeffrey Stores USA for 25 years serving as GM for both the New York and Atlanta locations. During these 25 years he worked on the premiere fashion fundraiser in Atlanta and New York Fashion Cares. After the unexpected pandemic closure of Jeffery, Purcell decided to do what he most dreamed of and that’s open his own store. Purcell opened DON PURCELL, a concept gallery of modern fine jewelry, art and luxury gifts in Buckhead Village Atlanta in September of 2021. The store features jewels from modern fine jewelry designers Irene Neuwirth, Cathy Waterman, Sylva & Cie and Sidney Garber, to name a few.

In addition, he is the Atlanta home of southern pop artist Ashley Longshore.
Purcell is a fine arts graduate from the University of South Carolina. He discovered his passion for retail very early. He grew up in a small Virginia town working in his dad’s old fashion hardware store. These early retail roots combined with a passion for the arts helped set him up for retail success. He began his retail career working in Charleston, South Carolina for Morris Kalinsky, owner of the famed luxury shoe store Bob Ellis. His unique charm with customers and a passion for designer fashion brought him to relocate to help their son, Jeffrey Kalinsky, at his first designer store in Atlanta. Purcell then followed Jeffrey to New York City and was the original GM of Jeffrey New York. Jeffrey was known for stellar, old-school service and Purcell continues to offer this service at his namesake store.
